Можно явно установить, с которым экран слева от который xrandr:

xrandr --output DVI-I-1 --auto --primary --output DVI-I-2 --auto --left-of DVI-I-1

От man xrandr:

   --left-of, --right-of, --above, --below, --same-as another-output
          Use one of these options to position the output relative to  the
          position  of  another  output.  This allows convenient tiling of
          outputs within the screen.  The position is always computed rel‐
          ative  to  the  new  position  of the other output, so it is not
          valid to say --output a --left-of b --output b --left-of a.

Ознакомьтесь с мужским языком (например, узнайте об этом здесь ), man-страница gunzip scp (найдите ее с помощью найдите scp.1 .gz) /usr/share/man1/scp.1.gz, отредактируйте его соответственно, сохраните его снова в том же месте, что и gz. Вот и все.

Обычный путь: представить патч сопровождающим/производителям программного обеспечения. Если вы не знаете, кто они, вы можете просто отправить его в трекер вашего дистрибутива.
